The Reynolds Museum

Merchandising design & illustration. T-shirts, and application to many other merch items, including bags, mugs, caps, hang tags, stickers etc.

Project Introduction

The Reynolds Museum hired us to explore and refresh their branded merchandise. After a visit to the museum, and 200 photos later - it was time to explore concepts. We created merchandising illustrations for: Aeronautics, Automotive, Industrial, Youth, Agricultural, and to represent Stan Reynolds. For each illustration we created pages of sketched exploration. Once the client had time to look over the sketches - we narrowed down the final picks and created final vector art. Final mockups were supplied with the artwork applied to T-shirts, caps, mugs or tags. A final merchandising document was created showing these designs and the application to many other merch items.

Specific Details

I had the opportunity to work on a youth brand for the Reynolds Museum. I created the Rust Hunters Club, incorporating the fact that Stan Reynolds flew around the prairies in his P11 plane looking for rusting relics, and my own childhood spent exploring and digging up "treasures" on our family farm. This brand shows the thrill of kids going treasure hunting, using the Reynolds own 1929 Stripping Shovel to accelerate the process!
