MacEwan University hired me to create a Student Success Report focusing on indigenous students in EPBS. This report was generated after a long study on Indigenous students in publics schools, researching how they were doing, and how their learning style was different than standard Western learning. The graphics in this report were inspired by the quote located in the inside back cover of the report. The indigenous holistic learning is shown in the hoops and curves in the report and the western (linear) framework this knowledge has to mesh with is shown by the rectilinear black lines and steps framing the pages. It is the hope that after having educators read this report - the 2 styles of learning will overlap.
We had the pleasure of working with the brilliant Emily Milne from MacEwan University on her Student Success Report for Indigenous Kids in the Edmonton Public School System. We hope these reports make a huge difference!
